Food Sensititvity

A food sensitivity is an adverse reaction to a food that other people can safely eat. Symptoms of food sensitivity are varied, and may include constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, headache, skin inflammation, mood swings, fatigue, sinus/lung congestion, and other vague symptoms. Long term dietary habits may lead to more serious symptoms and illness. Identifying, and then subsequenstly avoiding or limiting the foods you are sensitive to, is an easy first step to better health.

Applied Kinesiology and Food Sensitivity Testing
Applied Kinesiology uses muscle response(s) to assess the body’s sensitivity to particular foods. Muscle testing is a simple, effective and non-invasive system that gives immediate feedback and is suitable for all ages including babies. Pressure is applied to a contracted muscle in the presence of a plant or food to be tested, and the client is asked to match or resist that pressure. The response of the muscle, whether it is able to remain strong or weakens, indicates the sensitivity to the particular food tested.

How does Applied Kinesiology work?
All living creatures consist of energy. Energy cannot be created in our bodies, but must be received from an outside source. Plants receive energy from the sun's rays, and in turn, we receive our energy when we eat them. By holding the plant to the arm or upper body, the energy from the plant will transfer to the body. When testing the muscle strength, the stronger the arm gets, the more the body accepts the plant; the weaker the arm gets, the less the body wants the plant.

What happens during a consultation?
A first appointment lasts about an hour and begins with a detailed consultation, followed by muscle testing.
