Devoted to client care and professionalism, the practitioners at Body Kneads Massage continually pursue health care education, as they strive to provide complete health and wellness programs for their clients.
Christina Kish, PROPRIETOR, R.M.T., C.M.R.
Christina has been a Registered Massage Therapist in the Leamington
area since 1996 and opened Body Kneads Massage & Wellness Centre in 2001.
She has studied extensively in the area of myofascial release and postural improvement, and holds certificates in craniosacral therapy,TMJ Mastery, ultrasound and has become a PSYCH-K® and Holoenergetic Healing facilitator. She yearly attends the Can Fit Pro conference in Toronto to advance her health and fitness knowledge. Christina participated as an examiner for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario from 1998 to 2007 and has taught Myofascial Release to health
care professionals in Canada and the US.
Britt Schooley, B.Sc., R.M.T.
Britt has been a RMT since 2002 after graduating from the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in Toronto, having already received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. Before joining Body Kneads Massage & Wellness Centre, Britt gained experience working with a wide variety of clients in Massage Therapy clinics in Toronto and Ottawa. During this time, Britt added Stone Massage Therapy, Aquatic Massage Therapy, Reflexology and Reiki to her skill set. She is also certified in Full Body Myofascial Release, Soft Tissue Release, and Cranial Sacral I and is currently studying to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist in hopes of helping others reach their nutritional goals.
Sandi
Myles, R.M.T.
Sandi graduated in June of 2003 as a Registered Massage Therapist
and began working at Body Kneads later that year. In January 2006,
she traveled to Thailand for a month to study the theory and techniques
of Thai massage; as well as the preparation and use of herbal
compresses. Sandi has completed additional courses in hot stone therapy, energy
work, shoulder/neck workshops, aromatherapy and TMJ Mastery (2009). Sandi is currently training in Kahi Loa Massage, a traditional form of healing that originated in Hawaii. Kahi Loa bodywork incorporates the principles of using the mind and connection with the forces of nature to help bring the body back into balance.
Jamie Stibbard, R.M.T.
Jamie is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated in 2006 from the Canadian College of Health Sciences and Technology. She went on to further her training by completing a Jenings Myofascial workshop in 2007 for lumbar myofascial release and took extra training in craniosacral therapy to add to her practice as well. Jamie joined Body Kneads in November 2008 and strives to help others maintain healthy lifestyles. In the fall of 2009, she completed a course in TMJ Mastery and intends to increase her knowledge in Myofascial Release. Jamie hopes to take some specific massage courses for pregnancy in the future.
Joanne Nagel, Alternative Health Practitioner
Joanne started her path into wellness in 2003 with her certification in Foot Reflexology. Since then, she has added an array of alternative health modalities to her skill set. In 2009, she obtained her certifications as a Psych-K and Holoenergetics healing facilitator. When working with individuals, Joanne implements her education in nutrition, iridology, Bach Flower remedies, oriental analysis, food sensitivity testing, and applied kinesiology to help them achieve their total wellness goals. Joanne has gained her experience by working with a wide variety of people from her home office. She has now joined the Body Kneads team as her satellite office, along with her home location.
Jodi Lassner, B.Sc., B.Ed., Certified Yoga Instructor
Jodi began practicing yoga 10 years ago while living in Vancouver, BC. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Dalhousie University (1996) as well as a Bachelor of Education from University of British Columbia (2001). In 2005 she began teaching yoga while continuing her education in Israel. In 2009 Jodi travelled to India where she studied under yogis in Dharmsala and Rishikesh and was certified in Hatha yoga. Jodi has taught large classes and private sessions for all ages and health conditions. She enjoys helping people discover the ease and peacefulness within themselves.
Kathy Klym, RRPr, CWC
Kathy is a recent graduate of the Ontario College of Reflexology (OCR) and joined Body Kneads in 2007. With an extensive background in business and accounting, she has redirected her career to the field of natural health. While having experienced a wide variety of modalities, Reflexology is her favourite, creating the desire to share with others the healing benefits of this relaxing and pain-reducing therapy. Kathy is registered with the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario, certified in both foot and hand reflexology as well as recently receiving her certification in Wellness Coaching. |
