Devoted to client care and professionalism, the practitioners at Body Kneads continually pursue health care education, as they strive to provide complete health and wellness programs for their clients. Our mission is to educate, support and empower clients to embrace their potential to heal effectively with natural therapies.
Christina Kish, PROPRIETOR, R.M.T., C.M.R.
Christina has been a Registered Massage Therapist in the Leamington area since 1996 and opened Body Kneads in 2001. She has studied extensively in the area of myofascial release and postural improvement, and holds certificates in Structural Integration, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, TMJ Mastery and Ultrasound. She is a PSYCH-K® Professional Facilitator and a trained "Health and Wellness" PSYCH-K® Practitioner. Her most recent studies include Vibrational Testing and Healing through the Vesica Institute and some First Nation Teachings. Christina attends Can Fit Pro conferences and Isagenix events to advance her health and fitness knowledge. Christina spent her first 10 years as an examiner for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and has taught Myofascial Release to health care professionals in Canada and the U.S., and has been a therapist at elite athletic world events.
Sandi Myles, R.M.T.
Sandi graduated in June of 2003 as a Registered Massage Therapist and began working at Body Kneads later that year. In 2006, she traveled to Thailand for a month to study the theory and techniques of Thai massage; as well as the preparation and use of herbal compresses. Sandi has completed additional courses in Hot Stone Therapy, Aromatherapy, Myofascial Release ,TMJ Mastery, and several other energy work and body therapy workshops. In 2010 she travelled to Haiti to volunteer her time at a local orphanage. Sandi currently holds Reiki 1, Indian Head Massage certification, and introduction to LomiLomi. In 2015 Sandi went to Minnesota to study with Master Chunyi Lin in "Qi-ssage" Level 1 and 2 of Spring Forest Qi-gong. In 2016 Sandi completed a course in Professional Cupping Therapy for massage involving the Ancient Sinew Channels, Organ System Balancing and detoxification along with Myo-Fascial Release and Lymphatic Drainage.
Jamie Stibbard, R.M.T., C.I.M.T
Jamie is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated in 2006 from the Canadian College of Health Sciences and Technology. She continued her training by completing a Jenings Myofascial workshop in 2007 for Lumbar Myofascial Release and introduction to CranioSacral Therapy. Jamie joined Body Kneads in November 2008 and has since continued her certifications in several myofascial release courses, TMJ Mastery, Indian Head Massage Certification and Level 1 Reiki. Her additional training as a Certified Infant Massage Teacher allows her to instruct parents and caregivers how to safely massage their babies from 3 weeks old and up. In 2016 Jamie completed a course in Professional Cupping Therapy for massage involving Organ System Balancing and detoxification along with Myo-Fascial Release and Lymphatic Drainage. Jamie plans to further her training in Reiki and focus her qualifications in the area of Pregnancy Massage.
Meagan Earl, R.M.T
Meagan graduated from Everest College in June 2009. Before joining Body Kneads in 2012, she gained experience working in a spa setting. Meagan has continued to build her skills by completing workshops including Soft Tissue Release, Advanced Neuromuscular Assessment and Integrative Muscle Therapy Techniques, Sports Massage and Core Stabilization.
Sheri Brown, R.M.T.
Sheri is a recent graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy program from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy school located in Windsor. She joined the Body Kneads team in August 2016 immediately after the successful completion of her certification exams. Her previous work experience as a physiotherapy assistant providing "group" exercises and "one-on-one" therapy in a long-term care facility will be an asset for client care in our clinic. Sheri has utilized different modalities such as TENS, laser, ultrasound and hydrotherapy to assist clients to reach their goals. Sheri enjoys spending her time travelling, being in nature and reading. Sheri has continued her education in Hot Stone Massage, Thai Stem, Indian Head Massage, Cupping and Reflexology. She looks to add Kinesiology Taping and Aromatherapy certification in the future.
Deanna Bavetta, R.M.T.
Deanna graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1998. Subsequently, she has taken additional courses to enhance her massage therapy skills including travelling to Thailand for a month in 2008 to study the theory and techniques of Thai Massage. She currently holds certificates in Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, Advanced Neuromuscular Assessment, Integrative Muscle Therapy, Essential Oils, Raindrop Techniques, Aromatherapy and numerous courses in Myofascial Release. Deanna has also shared her knowledge and love for massage by teaching part time at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Windsor. She has 18 years of experience having practiced in physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics. Deanna has also worked at several home-based clinics prior to joining the Body Kneads team in November of 2015.
Jodi Lassner, B.Sc., B.Ed., Certified Yoga Instructor
Jodi began practicing yoga in 2001 while living in Vancouver, BC. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Dalhousie University (1996) as well as a Bachelor of Education from University of British Columbia (2001). In 2005 she began teaching yoga while continuing her education in Israel. In 2009 Jodi travelled to India where she studied under yogis in Dharmsala and Rishikesh and was certified in Hatha yoga. In 2010 she joined the Body Kneads team providing private and semi-private yoga instruction. Jodi has taught large classes and private sessions for all ages and health conditions and enjoys helping people discover the ease and peacefulness within themselves.
Beverly Chortos, B.Sc.,R.Ac., Hom.
Bev has 25 years of experience using acupuncture and homeopathy to treat a variety of health care concerns. It was during her medical training at the University of Western Ontario in physiotherapy, that Bev became interested in acupuncture. She then left physiotherapy to work full time in acupuncture, training first with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and later with the International University of Alternative Medicines. Bev has continued her studies, taking courses in nutrition, auricular acupuncture, allergy elimination technique, and bio-energetic testing, as well as obtaining her degree in Homeopathy from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine. She is registered with the Canadian Association of Professional Certified Acupuncturists and the Ontario Homeopathic Association.
